Liberty Dialysis Unanimously Ratifies Contract |

The HNA RN’s at Liberty Dialysis Hawaii LLC unanimously voted “Yes” to ratify their new three-year agreement on December 18, 2009.

“Following some very difficult bargaining sessions, both parties ended negotiations with a successful contract," said HNA Executive Director Patt A. Gibbs, Esq. "We worked together to reach a fair and reasonable agreement our members would be proud to ratify,” said HNA Executive Director Patt A. Gibbs, Esq.
Highlights of the new agreement include:
WAGES
- Wages of 6% compounding wage increase over 3 years.
- New Preceptor differential pay at $1.50 per hour.
- New CNN differential pay at $.50 per hour.
- New Consultation differential pay at an additional $150.00per week to job rate.
BENEFITS
RN Negotiator Teomar Acdal and HNA Executive Director Patt A. Gibbs, Esq.
- No decrease in the current Dental premium cap.
- New and improved Medical Premium payment formula.
- Maintenance of the current matching 401k plan. All funds in the non-contributory plan will be suspended but will continue to grow if you are enrolled in the matching 401 k plan. (See language in tentative agreement for more details.)
- A 100% increase in Group life insurance and AD&D insurance coverage.
Labor Relations Specialists Jeff Morgan and Irene Pu’uohau deserve special recognition for their outstanding work with RN’s Teomar Acdal and Kelvin Chan, who worked together as a team with Gibbs to achieve major gains in the face of looming concessions. In addition, the HNA Liberty Dialysis Negotiating Team successfully achieved status quo in major areas of the contract.
The new contract covers 80 members at Liberty Dialysis and is effective December 1, 2009 to November 30, 2012.
