Kahuku Medical Center ratified their recent negotiated contract with a  5% wage increase retroactive from June 1 and a paid-time labor-management council. There will be a re-opener in February 2009 for the one year contract as Kahuku’s future remains financial unstable.

In some of the facilities, union leaders are being targeted. Several of these grievances have been dropped by the employer or won in the initial stages. Some are still ongoing. Our excellent LRS’s continue to fight to protect our contracts.
